Welcome
On behalf of the children, staff and governors, welcome to the Gentleshaw Primary Academy website.
Gentleshaw Primary Academy has been situated on the edge of Cannock Chase since 1878. During this time, our school has been at the heart of the community and children, staff, parents and governors all value being part of our family. Through our ethos and community links, we aim for our children to become ambitious, successful and responsible citizens.
At Gentleshaw we strive to embed a love of learning amongst our pupils resulting in our children becoming inquisitive, self-motivated and confident learners with high aspirations. By leading exciting and engaging lessons, with quality teaching, guidance and support, we aim for all of our children to achieve their potential both personally and academically.
We believe that children flourish when the relationships between school, parents and carers is strong. Consequently, we place a great importance upon communication and there are regular opportunities for parents and carers to take part in their child’s learning and celebrate success and achievement.
In addition, at Gentleshaw a rich curriculum inspires and engages our pupils. Through creativity, academic subjects, a variety of sports, specialist music teaching and the arts, we work to create opportunities for children to strive in all areas and have a variety of experiences, creating memories to last a lifetime.
We extend our welcome to you and encourage you to visit our school to experience the happy and purposeful environment we have created and are so proud to be part of.
Best Regards
Miss G Saunders
