ATTENDANCE

Good Attendance is key to achieving your child’s full potential.

As a school we aim for a minimum of 96% attendance for each child

Every Friday during our celebration assembly, we announce the class with the highest attendance, with the winners receiving a certificate.

At the end of the half term, the class with the most certificates has a party!

Absence Reporting Procedures

Reporting an Absence

If your child is unwell, please contact the school on 01543 227420 before 8.50 AM, providing as many details as possible regarding your child’s absence. Children should only miss school if they are unwell.

Medical Appointments

We ask that you schedule medical or dental appointments outside of school hours wherever possible.

Appointments During School Hours

If an appointment must take place during school time, please notify the school office in advance and provide evidence of the appointment so the absence can be recorded appropriately. Once this appointment has been agreed by the school, Parents/Carers should only take their child out of school for the minimum amount of time necessary for the appointment. Bringing your child in late after an appointment will mean that they will be registered as attending a medical appointment and it will count as an absence for the morning.
